Nova ("the app", "we") turns your prompts, photos and voice into documents, decks, notes and sheets. This policy explains what we process and why.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and display name (via Firebase Authentication; Apple Sign-In may relay a private email).
• Your content: the documents, decks, notes and sheets you create, stored in your account (Google Firebase / Firestore).
• Prompts & inputs you send to the AI: text prompts, photos you scan, and voice recordings you dictate. These are sent to our processing server and to AI providers to generate the requested result.
• Calendar data: with your permission, we read and create events in your device calendar and in calendars you connect (Google / Microsoft).
• Email (Gmail): if you connect Gmail, we read messages you ask Nova to work with and create drafts you request. We never send email on your behalf — sending always happens in your own Mail app, which you control.
• Cloud files: if you connect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, we read the specific files you choose to import or ask about.
• Connected accounts: when you connect Gmail, a calendar, Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, we store an access token (on your device and/or relayed to our server for the duration of a request) only to access the data you asked for. You can disconnect any account at any time.
• Basic technical/usage data needed to operate the service (e.g. request counts for rate limiting).

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

How we use it

To authenticate you, store and sync your content, generate AI output, show and manage calendar events, and keep the service reliable and secure.

Third-party processors

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage.
• OpenAI — text generation and image analysis of prompts/photos you submit.
• Google Gemini — image generation (when used).
• ElevenLabs — voice-to-text transcription of dictation.
• Unsplash — stock cover images.
• Google (Calendar, Drive, Gmail), Microsoft (OneDrive), Dropbox — only the calendar, file or email data you explicitly connect and request.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Submitted content may be transmitted to and processed on servers outside your country.

Permissions

Camera, Photo Library, Microphone and Calendar are requested only when you use the related feature, and only for that purpose.

Data retention & deletion

Your content is kept until you delete it or your account. You can delete your account and all associated content at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your authentication record, your stored documents/decks/notes/sheets, and your server-side records (credit balance, referral data and image-storage accounting). To request deletion otherwise, contact abuse@novacreate.ai.

Children

Nova is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date.
